After spending over 12 years as a university lecturer, textbook writer, cartoonist, author and photojournalist in Japan, I relocated to Eugene, Oregon in 1999. Current projects include exciting new articles for Intermezzo Magazine (gourmet cuisine & travel, www.intermezzomagazine.com) three Asian airline magazines (Japan, China & Indonesia), and promoting my new book examining the common factors between suicidal school shooters, workplace avengers and fanatical terrorists.
My first travel articles were published during the late 80's in The Boston Globe. By 2000, I was producing stories on a regular basis for four newspapers, two weeklies, three in-flight and two monthly magazines. To date, I have published over 600 articles on travel, food, art, fashion and lifestyle, as well as two books on travel and three textbooks.
