Kuala Lumpur, Petronas Twin Towers, Malaysia
Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, Petronas Twin Towers, night.
Argentine-born architect Cesar Pelli’s 88-story Petronas Twin Towers, sheathed in stainless steel and reflecting Islamic motifs, were completed in 1997 and remained the world’s tallest skyscrapers until 2004. I visited several times, but they are best seen at night. As American architect Cass Gilbert once remarked, skyscrapers “give us the highest pitch of emotion before they are lost in silence.”
Available in 2 sizes: [12”x16”] for $55 and [20"x30”] for $95, printed on elegant, lightweight stretched canvas, wrapped around 1¼” depth stretcher bars with black edges, ready to hang.
